Houses for sale Liguria

Newsflash

Villa Serra by Umberto FistariolIn mid 1800, the marquis Orso Serra decided to build a villa with a park in the English style in a property of nine hectares bought from the Pinelli family, situated in Comago di Sant’Olcese, near Genoa. There, he built a villa in perfect Tudor style, surrounded by grasses with big trees and two small lakes. After the second war, the villa and the park were in terrible conditions. The Genoa Municipality bought the unit in 1992, in the occasion of Colombiadi (the celebration of 500 years from the discovery of America). Villa Tudor has been completely restored and has become a public park. It contains an extraordinary collection of hydrangeas (more than 250 different varieties) and is one of the very few English parks in Italy.
